воно чекало на мене, як чекає м’ясник: білий янгол проти конвеєра пекла, на товстій шиї — розп’яття зі срібла, у товстих пальцях — знеструмлене місто з моїх обірваних магістралей, аби мене поховали чисту, пальці влізли мені серед горла, вправні пальці мені серед тіла, бо воно ж знає: залізьте по лікоть, і я попрошу: «залізьте глибше», я — розвага, його словом — їжа, все одно, що зліпили для столу, все одно, що зліпили для ліжка все одно, що зліпили для сцени: я відповім рідиною від серця, як відріжете все, що негідне. я чекала на нього так само, як очікують своїх перших. забирайте мене такою: сирі шматки на засмажену голову (її воно лишить собі), тільки дайте мені час відтанути: ви ж чекали на мене так само, як очікують своїх останніх, аби мене поховали без імені пальці влізли мені серед горла, дістали слово за словом за словом, тепер я по-справжньому гола. воно чекало, і я тепер вдома. тож забирайте мене замість мене, на прилавках розкладену правду, він сміється й каже: «смачного», він покликав, і я тепер вдома.
