Пишу я вам листа, о радість серця мого. Зустрінусь з вами скоро я.. Закінчиться тривога! Ці дні без вас як лютий сніг, який пішов надворі. Так несподівано, раптово, змінилася погода.. І вулиці порожні стали, коли я попрощався з вами. І води всі бурхливі, вже рух свій зупинили. Немає сонця у садах, зів'яли вже всі квіти.. І вітер у полі не шумить, не чути вже ці співи. Лише ця тиша настає, пронизлива, раптова. Яка мене так дістає! Не чути сміху твого.. Пишу тобі листа, о радість серця мого.. Скоро прийду до тебе, мила моя, чекай мене з дороги.. І приготуй вечерю ту казкову. Пиріг малиновий цей твій.. Розвіює всі болі!
