                    *Olivia's POV*
Hi I'm Olivia Johnson, 17 years of age and a sophomore at GADE PRESTON HIGH SCHOOL not the kind of school you'd see on see screens or news articles but it's the best school that can offer you more than a beautiful high school experience.... Well kind of.I live in an unpopular neighborhood, no numbers on our houses, it's not very pretty and in  no way can you compare it to the famous Beverly hills but with or without the beauty nature can offer my neighborhood I love it anyways, everybody here knows everybody, we stand by each other and we sure know how to make lemonade from lemons if you know what I mean, so what if we don't drive expensive cars, live in mansions or have swimming pools in our backyards, we can bring a party to a desert and everybody would be happy. The point is not all of us are born with a silver spoon in our mouths but we can hustle and live like a king at the end of the day. Despite all the fun and joy this neighborhood brings I miss my mom, ever she left me with grandma to go and work for some rich family in Houston it hasn't been the same without her. I know she's only doing what's best for me but I wish she would work here even if her job wasn't paying well, I'd pick that than having her so far away from home.
When I was just 5 years old my father abandoned mom and I and since then it's only been me and her until she decided to leave me as well at the age of 12.Grandma has been of big support and I don't know what I could have done without her, I know she misses mom as much as I do but she tries to conceal the pain just for my sake, mom's ever busy but she at least makes time to visit at least once in a while and it's kind of hard to say goodbye each time she leaves. Aside from grandma I have the coolest friends I could ever ask for, they're very supportive and make me feel like the world revolves around me, it's really nice to have friends like them.
Speaking of the devils here they come(gets up from the staircase on the front porch).

"yo wat'up you got me waiting here forever what took y'all so long?"I said as I reached out to give them a fist bump, growing up in the ghetto it kind of makes you a bit like a gangster, tough and streetwise but also with a soft heart..

"chill girl, we could have been here earlier but for Kevin we couldn't make it on time"Keke said as she raised her eyebrows,
I've known her all my life and she can get a little crazy sometimes but she's good at heart, whenever I get in trouble I could run to her and she would put her life on the line just to defend me.

"Kevin? Again? What does that punk what now? I Said as I shook my head in annoyance

" you know Kevin he's always up and about looking for a place to stir things up "Debby said.

Looking from a distance you might think Debby is one naive, innocent, holy person you've ever met and yeah she's all that but only the people closest to her get to see her wide side. She's so sweet and sees nothing but beauty in everyone but can also unleash the beast if you try to cross her.

"Luckily  papa was there to fight for his girls" Richie said as he showed off his guns(arm muscles) he's quite strong and the tattoos on him make him make  look feisty, it's kind of cute that he's able to scare off anyone who tries to harm him or the closest people to him, even though he looks tough on the outside Richie is a big chubby teddy bear on the inside with so much compassion and love to give.

"papa? Please, just because you're the man here doesn't make you our papa" I said with sarcasm but also in a teasing way, we can tease him countless times and yet be on the same page that's just how we roll.

Later in the evening after hanging out with my buddies I just wanted to lay my head on the pillow and sleep for as long as long  as I could, it had been such a long day and I'm glad grandma has already made dinner cause I know I wouldn't have been able to. After walking in the house I saw grandma knitting (one of her favorite things to do) I kissed her cheek and headed to the kitchen to serve myself.

"kids of nowadays, all you know to do is go out and come back home late at night expecting to find food on the table" (scoffs)

"c'mon nana you know my friends and it's not like we were doing anything bad"nana as I like to call her can complain a lot which I'm guessing is something that most old people do but I love her anyways.

" I know-I know I just want you to be careful Lolita, you need to take more responsibility now that you're turning into a woman, soon you'll finish school and before we know it you'll be living with your husband"

As soon as she said that I got choked by the food that was so hard to swallow after hearing what she just said,

(coughs) "Nana really? I'm too young to think about marriage and besides let me enjoy life while the night is still young".

She looked at me then let out this laughter that's too infectious that I laugh along each time she's laughing. We were so happy, joking and laughing around till suddenly she started coughing, I didn't think much of it and after drinking a glass of water she didn't stop coughing, it got pretty serious as I realized that she'd been coughing for quite some time and let out blood sputters then collapsed.
Everything froze in time and all I could think of was call for emergency then fell on my knees  to wake her up.

"Nana?!nana?!Nana wake up this is not funny anymore, Nana? Please don't leave me, hang on. Nana?!!"

At this point I panicked  and called mom and called the neighbors for help as I waited for the Pera medics to come.
