Chapter 2
With so much anxiety and nervousness at the same time I entered his office and tried not to make eye contact with the gorgeous man standing next to me, the smell of his cologne was all over the place and that got me looking his way over and over till we gazed into each other's eyes for a while then quickly pulled away after realizing how uncomfortable it was for me.
I raised my head to face Mr Thompson so as to know why he called me here and quickly get the hell out of here before it's too late.
"you called me?" I said as I softened my voice so as to not sound harsh but rather charming, elegant and confident at the same time.
"yes, I wanted you to meet David. He's been working here for a long time and since you're new here I thought he would be the best person to show you around and and show you how things work here. David meet Adeline our new member."
He turned his head to face me and his eyes were burning deep in my eyes, he stretched out his hand for a hand shake
" hello, nice to meet you, welcome to THD cooperation and we're glad to have you here"

and I quickly shook his hand, pulled away and broke off the stare.
" Mr Thompson I don't think all this is necessary, though I've been here for only two weeks I'm starting to get familiar with everything around here. "
" you're starting to but you don't know everything yet"
David interrupted, for a moment I thought that was rude and chose to ignore it but I couldn't help.
I took a deep breath and let out my thoughts well not all of them cause if they could read my mind this place would be all fired up.
"like I said with time I'll know everything around here and besides you just got back from your vacation so you have a lot to catch up with ."
He chuckled then said,
"in here time is limited, once you're here you get to be sharp as quickly as you can and about my work I have a lot of experience so I have no problem with handling so much work,Miss Adeline"
OH I swear his pissing me off right now, seriously what did I see in him in the first place? If I allowed him to coach me this would turn out badly despite his annoyance I'm still kind of attracted to him.
"Miss Adeline, David is right, there's so much work needed to be done and our clients demands keep increasing rapidly so if you can accept his help this would speed up the work and make it easier for you."
I thought of picking my own coach but I didn't want to raise any suspicions so I guess I'm stuck with him till I'm stable enough to do this work on own. (grins)

" good, we don't have much time left so I suggest we start immediately ". He said with a smirk on his face that gave me the feeling of the pleasure he got from winning this battle.
Oh this better be good.
We both stepped out of the office and sure he wasn't kidding when he said we had to start immediately, he cleared most of the papers that were on my desk and brought out his "special pen" he used to write on most of the papers like he didn't see the pens that were just right in front of him Seriously Can this get any worse than it already is??
