"Stacy, wake up princess. I have somebody I want you to meet."

Stacy opened her eyes slightly and looked at her clock. It was barely eight in the morning when he came in. "Ugh! Who could possibly be that important to disturb my beauty rest?" she mumbled.

Who ever it was, Stacy wasn't meeting them until she fixed herself up. She brushed her teeth, combed her long black hair and puts on her mothers favorite diamond stud earrings before going down stairs.

When she reached the top of the staircase, she was surprised to see that handsome face she had saw the other day standing next to her father and smiling right at her.

"Stacy, this is Kai."

Stacy walked slowly down the steps with a confused look on her face.

"Yea, I know him. Nice to meet you...again."

"You've met?"

"Yea, he uh... He tried to help me fix my car but it didn't work."

"Good. Then there's no need for an ice breaker."

"Wait, I'm confused. What is he doing here in the first place?"

"He's your new bodyguard."

"BODYGUARD! Dad, don't you think your overreacting?"

"Not at all. The last thing I want is for my baby girl to be killed out here. And I can't keep you sheltered for the rest of your life. You're 25. I know you want to get out the house sometimes and this is the best thing I could come up with."

One of Johns friends knocked on the front door. He kissed his daughter on the forehead and headed out with his friend.

"Ill be back later sweety. You two get acquainted and stay out of trouble."

Stacy pouted and went into the kitchen while Knowledge went into the basement to set his things down. As he did that, there was another knock at the door. Only this time it was an unwelcomed visit. Dante stood in the door way with a sad and pitiful look in his eyes.

"What are you doing here?"

"You wouldn't return my phone calls so I stopped by to make sure you were ok."

"Why the hell would I return your phone calls when you've been cheating on me? I have nothing to say to you Dante. I'm done with you."

"Can u at least give me a chance to explain my actions. Why I did what I did."

Feeling like she deserved an explanation, Stacy allowed him to come inside. Dante walked straight ahead into the kitchen. Something about his demeanor wasn't right. Dante never tried to explain his actions. He was too full of ego for that. So the fact that he wanted to do it now, told Stacy to keep her distance.

Hearing Stacy shout at Dante, Knowledge crept up the basement stairs and waited to see what was going on before he intervened. He peeked his head out and watched as Dante placed two bricks of coke behind a large picture frame that sat on the kitchen counter before Stacy could see him.

"I never meant to hurt you Stacy. Its just... Things started to change between us. You got distant and barely came to see me anymore. It just made me look for love in other places."

"If you're here to blame your infidelity on the excuse that I couldn't come see you because I have a price on my head, then you can go to hell! I never complained while you were chasing money with JoJo. I held you down so go fuck yourself! You just ruined your chance to reconcile."

"Is everything ok?" said Knowledge as he appeared from the basement and stood next to Stacy.

Dante looked him up and down. "Oh I see you moved on already. That's the real reason you left me huh?"

"Get out of my house Dante. Your dismissed."

Angry, Dante frowned at Knowledge who stood unbothered. Once he was gone, Stacy broke down and cried. Knowledge wrapped his arms around her holding her until she stopped.

"Let me guess, that was your boyfriend?"

"Ex," she wiped her eyes. "I caught him cheating."

"Well look, as long as I'm around you don't have to worry about niggas like that anymore. Especially the ones who try to set you up like him"

"What do you mean?"

Knowledge walked over to the picture frame and showed the bricks of coke to Stacy. "Ill get rid of these for you."

"How?"

"You let me worry about that." said Knowledge as he wiped the remaining tears from her cheek.

He placed the coke back on the counter and rushed to the window when he heard the sound of motors pulling up outside of the house. He looked out the window and that's when he saw a gang of men hopping out their cars with guns and heading towards the house.

"We gotta get out of here!" he shouted at her.

"Why, what's wrong?"

"Ill explain later."

Knowledge ran past Stacy, grabbing her and the coke at the same time. He accidently drops one brick of coke on the floor and by the time he realized it, the gang of men were kicking the door in. He tucked Stacy behind him and told her to stay quiet while they hid behind the wall on the far side of the kitchen. Cautiously, Knowledge watched the gang force their way in, with John.

"That's my dad!" Stacy whispered.

Knowledge turned to her. "I know, but you have to stay quiet. If they hear us, we're dead you hear me?" Stacy nodded with tears in her eyes. Knowledge held her hand and turned back to see what the intruders were up to.

"Where's my coke John!" Cyrus yelled with a gun to John's head.

"I swear I don't know!"

"Found one brick." one of the men spoke. He walked up to the brick and bent over to pick it up; coming inches away from spotting Knowledge and Stacy hiding behind the wall.

"This is only one. Where's the second one John!" Cyrus yelled again.

"I swear on my wife I don't know. I didn't take anything from you!"

Cyrus chuckled. "What happened to you John? Big John. You used to run these streets with an iron fist. Got these people around here all scared of you and shit. Then here I come and force you on your knees swearing you didn't do shit. Now ain't that a bitch?"

"Its easy to say that when I'm alone." John turned his head to the left to see Cyrus behind him. "If you didn't have these minions behind you, I can almost guarantee you wouldn't even be on this side of town."

Cyrus sighed angrily. "You got one more chance to tell me where my other brick of coke is before I blow the back of your head out."

"I already told you I don't know and right now I really don't care. If you kill me, I hope my ghost haunts you everyday of your miserable life. And you better pray to God that he doesn't grant me the power to do it."

Furious, Cyrus had heard enough. Knowledge knew what was about to happen. He turned to Stacy and held her into his chest as the sound of the gun shot went off and John's body collapsed to the kitchen floor. Stacy screamed into his chest and started shaking.

Cyrus looked around. "Scout the area fast for that coke and lets get the hell out of here before one of these old farts call the police." the men agree and scatter throughout the house while Knowledge leads Stacy out the back door and around to the front where his car was parked.

Knowledge hid the brick of coke in the middle console and drove away. The ride was completely silent until Stacy finally calmed herself enough to talk.

"Now what? My mother is dead, my father is dead. I have no where to go, no money, no car."

"You have me?"

"Yea right. The only reason you agreed to do this was because my father was paying you. Now that he's dead ain't no telling how long you'll stay around."

"You're wrong. I took this job because a real man came to me and asked for help. And for the record, he wasn't paying me. I have my own money."

Knowledge reached into his pocket to grab his wallet but it wasn't there. "SHIT!" he yelled.

"What?"

"My wallet. It must've fell out of my pocket when we ran to hide."

"Well that cancels out the money part. Now what are we going to do?"

Knowledge looked at the console and remembered the coke. He took out his phone and dialed a number. "Are you home?......yea I got something good for you.....bet, I'm on my way now."

He swerved the car into a u-turn and drove to a neighborhood Stacy wasn't familiar with. Then he stopped in front of a house surrounded by another gang of men who frequently sold drugs from the basement. Now Stacy was really nervous.

"Here," Knowledge hands her a gun. "If anything happens while I'm there beep the horn. If you feel threatened, don't hesitate to use this."

Knowledge closed the car door and went into the house leaving Stacy alone in the car and the men standing outside slowly approaching the car one by one.
