INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this book is to promote scientific temperament, to make readers think about the religion and God; the concepts which common people accept without thinking or due to social pressure. People can keep their views about anything and can follow whatever religion or ideology they want. But they should think logically about whatever they do, whatever they believe.
Atheists are very uncommon in our society and more than that they don't share their views with others because the society has very different perspective towards an atheist and atheism.
When we talk about existence of God or about religions usually people directly jump on the question about origin of universe, life on earth. But it should be understood that the aspects of God and religions are more related to the social conditions, exploitation, crime, politics and unity of nation and so on than the origin of universe. The real problem about concept of God starts with simple questions like what is God? What does He do? Where does He live? What is he made up of? etc. because the answers we get are self contradictory and highly illogical.
There are many books which give more explanations with references from holy books, discussing about them line by line. Many famous people have presented their thoughts about the religion and God. Some of them say religion is must and some strictly reject the religion and God. But I am presenting my views about religion and God. I have discussed about it on pure logical basis.
In this book I will try to avoid discussions about individual stories, myths and concepts from different religions because if I discuss those, it will be a separate book of just critiques about religions. Still where needed I have mentioned and discussed few ridiculous religious myths and concepts. The objective is not to hurt but to make people think about it. But still if anyone gets hurt I believe that it is because of lack of logical thinking in them.
Many times I have faced the question that my name is Vitthal and still I am an atheist, how? Or why you have not changed your name? Instead of repeating the quote of Shakespeare I would like to focus on the actual reason. That choosing your name, religion, caste or sub caste, nationality is not in our will (at least at birth) and we follow whatever is imposed on us without our permission. And we also never think about such things and follow the same. Changing the name will not cause any difference to my thoughts. Rather keeping it as it is would be the best example to explain how the things are imposed on us at the time of birth.
