INT. Varun's home (drawing room).

Varun, wearing an oversized yellow shirt with flower patterns on it and a blue jeans, was standing near the shoe rack, searching  for his 'poma' shoes.

'Mummy!!! Mom. Where is my shoe?'    shouted Varun, by looking at the kitchen.

'It's under the couch, '     Mom shouted from the kitchen.

Mom cont'd     'Where are you going?'

'College Reunion.'    replied Varun.

Ambarnath Railway Station.

Varun was standing in the railway station, waiting for the train.

'09:37 slow train for Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminals will be arriving ten to fifteen minutes late today.'

After hearing the announcement, Varun stood near the pillar and took out his cellphone.

'Move! Move aside.'    said a man, who was carrying a bunch of papers.

Varun moved to the left.

The man took a paper and pasted on the pillar. When the man went ahead, Varun looked a the paper. It was a missing poster if two people.
'Mr. Parveen Joshi, age 37 years and Miss Janiya Kannet, age 28 years.'

The train arrived after twenty minutes. Varun was sitting on the window seat, looking at the people outside the train. Few minutes later, the train left Ambarnath. It reached Ulhasnagar then, Vithalwadi and then, Kalyan. When the train arrived at Kalyan, due to some technical issues, it was again delayed for ten minutes.

While waiting for the train to depart, Varun saw another missing poster which was pasted on the walls of the gents toilet.

When the train stopped at Thane station, he found three more missing people's poster. Later on, during his journey, whenever the train halted at any stations, his eyes searched for the missing posters.

Few days later.
Morning 11:30.
EXT. THE OFFICE OF 'THE TIME WE ARE' NEWSPAPER

Varun was waiting outside the cabin of  C. E. George, the chief editor of the 'The Time we are'.

A lady came out of the cabin.

'Varun. He is free now.'     said the lady, by looking at Varun.

Varun smiled at her.

'All the best.'    said the lady and went to her cubicle.

INT. THE OFFICE OF 'THE TIME WE ARE' NEWSPAPER

Varun went inside the cabin. He looked at George, a man in his late 50's, having a receding hairline. George was talking to someone over phone so, Varun stood behind the chair, opposite to George.

'Sit.'    said George by cancelling the call and keeping his cellphone on the table.

George cont'd        'How can I help you?'

'I'm Varun. I'm a freelance journalist, I have worked with your newspaper.'      replied Varun, by keeping a red folder on the table.

George interrupted    'Yeah. I saw your name on few articles in our Golden box.'

George cont'd         'As I'm new here, I was going through some articles submitted by freelancers and I'm really impressed by your work. '

'What is this Golden box?'      asked Varun.

'It's a term we use here. Golden box is a file in which we store all good quality articles from our newspaper.'     replied George.

George cont'd       'So, why are you here? Do you have something for us?'

'Yes.'     replied Varun.

Varun opened his folder and gave 57 missing posters to George.

'More than fifty people went missing from this small part of Mumbai and most of them comes under the age group of 20 - 60, '        said Varun.

Varun paused for a second to take a look at George's face. But, George continued to look at those missing posters with a blank face.

' Do you think it's normal? Coz I don't,'     said Varun.

' Hmm... So, how can I help you? '       asked George, by giving the posters back to Varun.

'I'm going to work on this. So, will you be interested in buying it?'      asked Varun.

'No. This matter doesn't have any movement. We need news that makes money. No one cares about what happened to these fifty people.'       replied George.

'But Dutta always wanted news. He wanted to educate the readers.'       said Varun.

'Yes. And that's why I replaced him. The share values are down and I'm assigned here with one task, Increase the money.'       replied George.

George cont'd       'I admire your previous works. Your work on PWD was very good and we are more than happy to purchase such news from you.'

'Okay. Thank you for your time. '    replied Varun.

Varun kept those missing posters in his folder and left the cabin.
