Вийди, візьми рушницю, пулею привітай, В небі дурну синицю, кòтра шукала гай, Друга, що якось братом кликав тебе, солдат, Брешеш собі? Не варто. Не повернеш назад, Тих, в кого влучив вистріл. В сердце кому ножа, Якось всадить замислив. Кров'ю твоя душа Плаче. І плаче сердце. Знову рука тремтить, Нащо ж, солдате, мнешся? Швидше скінчи цю мить. Братом ти був, солдате. Ворог тепер ти мій, Знав би я що додати, щоб приглушити біль. Плачу я, сердце плаче. Плачеш і ти солдат, Тих, кого вбив всласнòруч, спробуй, верни назад.
