The two teenagers stopped their fast paced walking in front of a shrine museum, which was a famous tourist attraction, that overlooked a beautiful lake. The colorful flowers gave the scenery a playful touch in the eye and the tall trees that surrounded the lake were slightly cutting off the sun's rays, with some of them escaping the thin leaves and making the lake's water slightly glisten at their touch. "Wow... that's so beautiful!" Dawn said feeling lost for words from the breathtaking scenery. "I know! But I bet there are a lot of things to see inside!" Michael said pulling her hand. "I'm coming, don't push!" She replied following him.

As soon as Michael and Dawn left the attraction, they moved on to Gora Park which is an open space park with pretty fountains and flowers. After a little break on a bench at the park they continued their stroll by going to the Allentown ropeway since Michael insisted, although Dawn was kinda scared because of her height fear. After the ropeway ride they decided to eat lunch at a local restaurant. Ice cream from a stand and a walk at a nearby lake followed to end the "let's have some fun!" statement done by Michael.

The red haired teenager sat on a bench facing the lake and the short girl followed. "Yeah and the other day- Oh wait." Michael was interrupted by his phone's notification sound. "It's Stephanie... Again!" He continued when he read the message. "WHAT?! WAIT I HAVE TO CALL HER!" The red eyed teenager said as he dialed in her number. "Hello? Stephanie?" He said. "Help me oni-chan!" The little girl's voice was heard through the phone. "WHAT'S WRONG WITH STEPHANIE?!" Dawn said jumping off her seat. "Wait! How many times have I told you not to touch the new microwave oven Stephanie?!" Michael replied. "Yeah, I knew you couldn't work it out that's why I told you not to touch it. The measurement unit of the oven is MINUTES NOT SECONDS!" He said as he brought his hand to his face and Dawn started laughing uncontrollably. "JUST PRESS THE BUTTON WITH THE EXCLAMATION MARK ON IT AND IT WILL STOP!" Michael continued. "Yeah. Yeah it's pretty good actually. Well anyway try not to burn our house down please. See you tomorrow sis." He said hanging up the phone. "Doesn't she know how to work a microwave oven?" Dawn asked as she laughed loudly. "It's a new model and apparently it's a bit tricky with the measurement units. She wanted to heat the food for 20 seconds and she heated it for 20 minutes instead." The red haired teenager explained with disappointment. "I honestly can't imagine someone else capable of making that mistake..." She said still laughing at her heart's content. "Yeah since she's being staying home and not going to school, she learned all kinds of things! But not how to use that oven I suppose..." Michael explained. "But why does she keep staying home instead of going to school?" Dawn asked looking curious. "I just have to tell you, don't I?" Michael said as he sighed and threw his back at the bench. "Two months ago, in the night of the 21st of June 2018, me and Stephanie were sleeping while our dad was up on his laptop, working. Suddenly, we woke up by our father's screaming. We both jumped off our beds and went to see what was going on. It was then, that we saw a fire demon as tall as the ceiling, spreading a wildfire all across our living room. Stephanie screamed for help and I tried to fight the demon back, but it was too late. In a blink of an eye, the demon burned our house to the ground. Both of us fell unconscious. Waking up after a mere of two minutes or so, I had debris all over my body and couldn't move. I saw the demon looking at me and laughing. As soon as I realised what had happened he tried to possess me. I felt my whole body burn throughout, in a way no simple fire could have. I started screaming as my clothes started burning bit by bit and I started to lose consciousness once again. I woke up in a hospital bed, four days later with my sister holding my hand. As soon as I felt better, I was told that my father was dead. He was possessed but that fire demon. After recovering, me and my sister had no place to call home and no parents of our own. we were what you'd call desperate. Our uncle decided to sent us money to get by every month, but other than that he didn't want to have anything to do with us. This incident shocked the core of our family. No own cared about us anymore. Like we were abominations of some sort. Then one day we received a letter from the Magicians' Academy. It wrote that it would give us a house in New York, a scholarship on the academy and the promise that everything will be taken care of. Two months after the incident, I started studying at this academy. Then I met you and the story goes on..." He explained thoroughly leaving nothing unsaid. "What about your mother...?" Dawn asked. "She died, just one year after my sister was born. We never really learned why... " He explained. "..." Silence fell upon the two teenagers as Dawn was in a state of shock due to his story. "...I literally have no words to describe the way I feel about this right now... I'm sorry." She said looking at her feet. "See? I told you that you wouldn't like to hear a story like that! I ruined the mood now." He replied. "No you haven't! It's not your fault! In fact I'm happy you finally talked to me about yourself!" She said with a smile. "Well then I'm glad!." He said as he grabbed her hand and started walking. "Where are we going?" She asked. "Back to the hotel miss!" Michael said laughing.

The two teenagers had reached their destination and had finally settled down. Both of them had taken a shower and were ready to go to bed since it was already 1:00 am. "I really can't go on like this! TWO DAYS STRAIGHT HAVING TO WEAR THE SAME CLOTHES AND UNDERWEAR!" Dawn said in a tone of complaint. "Stop complaining you idiot, at least we made progress!" He pointed out. "I guess you're right... Hey, are you gonna sleep today or what?" She asked. "I guess I could try..." Michael replied looking slightly embarrassed. "Are you perhaps flustered that you'll have to share a bed with a woman?" The black haired girl asked with a smirk on her face. "Woohh, I'm the man here. Things like THIS, are a plaything for me!" He said as he got up and looked her in the eyes as he moved closer. "PERVERT!" She shouted as she pulled up the covers. Michael laughed doing the same.

After a couple of minutes Dawn poked Michael's back and he turned around. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Were you sleeping?" Dawn continued the questioning. "No, not just yet..." Michael replied. "Good, cause I think I can't sleep..." The black haired girl said. "Do you want to talk about something?" The yellow eyed teenager asked once again. "Mhmm." She replied briefly. "May I ask you something?" She continued.
"Go on."
"You never actually told me why Stephanie is staying home. So why?"
"Because after the incident, she is too afraid to go outside."
"And how do you feel about having a demon inside you? Do you know how to use it?"
"No not at all... I'm not too keen on trying to learn either. I don't want to have anything to do with magic. It took everything away from me and I don't want it in my life anymore." He replied looking angry. "Sorry about that. But you were casting spells so casually back then, it seemed like you were good at using magic." She continued. "I was just mumbling out random stuff to protect myself, I'm no good in magic." Michael replied once again. "Have you got any idea what's the name of the demon that lives inside you?" Dawn whispered. "No... I've just seen him talk to me in my dreams. He is a lion covered by flames and he keeps saying some words I can't recall. He keeps mumbling stuff like accepting him and letting him lend me his powers." The red haired teenager explained. "NO WAY! THE FLAME LION! I'VE HEARD THAT SPIRIT WAS PASSED DOWN FROM GENERATIONS TO GENERATIONS AND IT'S EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I've heard that if the user of a fire demon is weak he might die when he tries to control it's powers for the first time! " The blue eyed girl shouted. "I don't care about it one bit. I'm not letting it have it's way..." He said. "Is that all?" He continued. "Yeah sorry Michael. Goodnight." She said and turned off the lights.
