CHAPTER 2
A WEEK LATER
INT. A VILLA – NOON
The room is complete white. The ceilings, floor and walls are different shades of white. There are two wooden doors in the room which are painted brown. There is a brown three seater couch on the center of the left wall and a cubicle made of black cloth was in the center of the room. Alex is sleeping on the couch. He looks different from the photo, which was shown to Issaq.
Issaq, his manager and Raja Pathre (a scientist) enters the room. The manger wakes up Alex. Alex opens his eyes. He stares at the faces of men surrounding him in confusion. Alex put his legs down and sits straight.
ISSAQ
(Smiles)
“Not dead. We paid for your life.”
Issaq sits next to Alex.
ALEX
(Rubbing his eyes)
“Why? What do you want from me?”
Issaq puts his hand over Alex’s shoulder.
ISSAQ
(Chuckles)
“Toooo many questions.”
ISSAQ
(cont’d)
“We have a job for you. And, if things go pretty, We both get rich.”
ALEX
(Still confused)
“I need to see my family.”
Issaq looks at his manager and the manager hands him a file. Issaq gives the file to Alex. Alex opens the file and sees photos of his wife and two daughters.
ISSAQ
“Going to your family won’t be a good option for now.”
ISSAQ (cont’d)
“You are a murder. The family who never came to visit you in prison wouldn’t be happy to see to outside their door.”
ALEX
(Watery eyes)
“I didn’t kill anyone. I walked into a trap.”
RAJA PATHRE
“We are offering you a chance to change it.”
ALEX
“How?”
ALEX (cont'd)
“I can’t go out like this.
I’m a convict.”
RAJA PATHRE
“We are giving you a chance to change it all… by staying inside this four walls.”
Alex is still confused.
ISSAQ
“We build a time travelling device which can help you change the present. But for that, you need to help us.”
ISSAQ (cont’d)
“One jump in time and your work is done.”
ALEX (stands up)
“Stop it right there. I’m out.”
Alex walks towards the door.
ISSAQ (The friendly tone changed to a threat)
“I paid millions for your life. I own you now and you’ll work for me.”
Alex walks back to Issaq.
ALEX (Loudly)
“Time travel is a myth.”
ISSAQ
“What do you want? Alexander’s hat? Da Vinci’s brush? Want the loudspeaker of Bob Beckwith? I could get you all within minutes.”
ALEX
“Okay. But why me?”
RAJA PATHRE
“Coz, you have everything we need.”
RAJA PATHRE (cont’d)
“While you were unconscious, we did some tests on you and the result matches with our model.”
ALEX
“Okay. But on what basis was I selected?”
ISSAQ
“We did some base works on you. Matched your blood group ,BMI etc with our model and also checked your pre-prison life.”
ALEX
“What’s in it for me?”
ISSAQ
“Good question.”
ISSAQ (cont’d)
“We’ll do one more jump to change your present.”
ALEX
“But, can future be changed.”
ISSAQ
“No.”
ISSAQ (cont’d)
“But our actions in the past can mold the future.”
ALEX (Takes a deep breath)
“I’m in.”
ISSAQ (pointing at his manager)
“He will teach you the basis and once you are ready, we can do the jump.”
Manager and Alex walks out of the room.
