THE DOG WHO KILLED A LION
In the hospital.
Sharun was lying on the bed. Aditya walked into the room, took a chair and sat beside Sharun.
'How are you feeling now?' asked Aditya, touching Shaun's hand.
Sharun slowly opened his eyes and looked at Aditya.
'I lied to my men about you. I told that, you got shot while they were trying to escape.' said Aditya by pressing his back on the chair and streching his legs forward.
'You were there for a reason and I know it. But, why did you do that ?' asked Aditya.
Sharun continued looking at Aditya without uttering a word.
'Hello!' said Aditya by waving his hands in front of Sharun.
Aditya cont'd 'Are you even listening to me? I need answers.'
Sharun slowly exhales.
'When did I got shot?' asked Sharun in a low voice.
'Today, ' replied Aditya.
Sharun nodded.
'Why did you tried to kill Victor?' asked Aditya
'I.. I need some time. I'm feeling dizzy. Can we talk tomorrow?' asked Sharun by slowly closing his eyes.
'Fine.' replied Aditya and left the room.
Aditya appointed two police officers outside Sharun's room.
Few minutes later.
Sharun received a phone call.
'Yeah. I'm alright.'
'I'll be there by morning, don't worry about me.'
'I want everything ready as we planned. Tomorrow is the day.'
Sharun cancelled the call. He took a paper and a pen, wrote a note and kept it under his pillow.
Next day morning.
When Aditya came in to the room, Sharun was already gone. He searched the room and found a note kept under the pillow.
' There was a small village of hunters living near the forest. One day, when the hunters went to the forest, they found a wounded lioness. They tied her legs and brought her to their village.
But, few days later that lioness died by giving birth to a single cub and that cub lived in that village.
Weeks later, when the hunters went back to the forest for hunting, they found a dog there. They took him to the village and kept him in the same cage with the lion.
One day, when the hunter forgot to lock the cage, the dog jumped out of it, went into a tent and killed a two year-old baby. The lion who followed the dog tried to protect the baby but, he couldn't. When the hunters came to the tent, they saw the lion and the dog fighting and the baby dead. The hunters thought that, it was the lion who killed the baby and the dog was trying to fight the lion. So, the hunters pointed their riffles at the lion and killed him.
