IN THE CAEDAR CHURCH
Same day, at night.
In the Caedar Church.

Victor and Arthur visited the church at night, to meet Father Stalin.

In the darkness of the night, the church was painted yellow by the candles of the worshipers. When Victor and Arthur entered the church, they saw hundreds of candles lit on four sides of the wall. They saw an Father Stalin standing near the confessional box. He was wearing a brown robe.

Victor went behind the Father and kneeled.
He bow down and said 'esho mishiha khu stuthi aayirikhatte.'

Father Stalin turned around , looked at Victor and replied 'aephozhum aephozhum sthuthi aayirikhatte.'

It was the first time Father Stalin had met Victor and he had no idea why he came to the church at late night.

'I haven't seen you here. I guess you ... guys are new in this town,' said Father Stalin, looking at Victor and then at Arthur, who was standing near the door.

'I came for answers Father...Fatherrr ?'     said Victor, who slowly stood up.

'Stalin. My name is Stalin,'     replied Father Stalin. He put his hand over Victor's shoulder.

Father Stalin cont'd   'Everyone comes here for answers.'

'I don't want that wood to talk. I want answers from you.'   said Victor, looking at the sculpture of Jesus Christ.

Father Stalin cleared his throat, took off his hand from Victor's shoulder and looked at Arthur, who was coming towards him.

'I don't think you both..you both belong here.'    said Father Stalin, in a low voice.

Victor looked at Arthur and smiled. He and Arthur sat on the bench.

'Few years ago, there was a man, your man, Indian. His name was Arvind. He was in this dirty business but, after the birth of his daughter; he decided to leave it. He had a good retirement plan but, Randalf, his own friend tried to kill him. Though Arvind didn't die, his wife did.  So, he thought that  the statue could bring her back to life. So, he goes to a church like me, meets a dumbass priest like you. The pep-talk didn't work so, he ended up killing the priest and brunt the whole church to ashes,'    said Victor.

Father Stalin was scared.

'Wh-What to you-u want ?'    stammered Father Stalin.

'Don't worry father. I already told you, I came for answers. I ain't carrying any knife or gun.'      said Victor, in a funny tone. Arthur giggled.

Victor cont'd    'I want names. Of the man who came to my club, the man who killed Roberto  and the man who killed that police officer and his family.'

'I don't know what you are talking,'   said Father Stalin.

'Bullshit. Go lie to your Jesus. I know you know everything about that fifty kids. I'm one from the many who are behind them and I hate liars.'     said Victor, who stood up furiously but, tried to hide to hide his anger.

Victor cont'd  'You know how terrible I felt when I had to choke the last breath out of that tiny soft body. But, all that was wasted, when your man killed that officer and pooped on my face.'

Arthur took out a 'Smith & Wesson Model 29' out of jacket and showed it to the Father. Arthur smiled; he was never going to kill him, he just tried to scare him.

'He came to the club, that is true. But he didn't kill your man or that police,'      said Father Stalin.

'The drum rolls over, say his fucking...ops sorry Jesus. Say his f-king name.'   said Victor.

'Sharun.'   said Father Stalin.

Victor laughs loudly.

'It's the second time I have heard this name. The first time I heard, I thought no other boy will have such a shitty name,'     said Victor.

Victor cont'd    'Thank you father. I hope you are useful to others as you were to me.'

Victor and Arthur waves goodbye to Father Stalin and walks towards the door. Father Stalin calls them from behind.

'I know those kids. You both need them so.... they are fifty, why don't you and Sha take twenty five and avoid the kill.'    said Father Stalin.

'Sha, that sucks. Probably eighth graders would have given him that nickname.'   said Victor.

Victor walked towards Father Stalin.

'Sha! want them for Axtelyn and I want their soul. So, there's no trading,'    said Victor.

'You both will kill each other,'    said Father Stalin.

Victor smiled.

'You know what happens to Randalf and Arvind ? Arvind dies because, he killed the priest and Randalf dies because, he killed the lady,'   said Victor.

Victor cont'd   'Life is all about waiting for your death, all you have to do is to make those waiting hours the best. So, in simple words. I'm not afraid of dying but, Sharun is.'

Victor pats of Father Stalin's shoulder and leaves the church. Father Stalin falls down on his knees and looks at Victor and Arthur slowly walking away from him.
