No matter how much you argue, you cannot be drawn apart.
She is a joy that cannot be taken away.
Once she enters your life, she is there to stay.
A friend who helps you through difficult times,
Her comforting words are worth much more than dimes.
A partner who fills your life with laughs and smile,
These memories last for miles and miles.
When she is by your side, the world is filled with life.
When she is not around, your days are full of strife.
A sister is a blessing who fills your heart with love.
She flies with you in life with the beauty of a dove.
A companion to whom you can express your feelings,
She doesn't let you get bored at family dealings.
Whether you are having your ups or downs,
She always helps you with a smile and never frowns.
With a sister, you cannot have a grudge.
She is as sweet as chocolate and as smooth as fudge.
Having a sister is not just a trend.
It is knowing you can always turn to her, your best friend.
Mama gave me one sister,God gave me three more, I love my sisters.

PARADISE
"I hope for a hereafter, where there would be four rivers, one of clear water, one of milk, one of honey and one of wine. a place where there would be high thrones and tall people; where green silk clothes would be worn, with gold bracelets and crown full of rubies. Peace will be lingering in the air, evil will be jealous, its heart blaring as bright as the sun rays. the sand underneath the feet would be of gems, from emeralds, to sapphire, to topaz and diamonds. and there would be boys and girls like pearls walking around, their beauty too bashful to perceive, unimaginative to fathom. a life I want, a life I dream of. where every sound is like a soft piano key, where every heart beat is tranquility. There would be nothing but what you wish for, a place filled with possibilites, infinities and everlasting certainties. Smiles will be on each and every face, a joyous moment that will never perish. a place that will never end. an irresistible beginning that will last forever. Oh, how I would give anything to stain myself with a piece of heaven, Oh, I would rather get martyred than die in vain. everyone asks if there is a life other than this, other than today. I will say Yes, there is. A Nirvana that will be a thousand times better than your lousy Saturdays. You wont be sad, you wont be hurt, you'll only feel glad, you'll be overflowing with mirth."

WHAT IF
What if everything we've ever done in the dark was secretly recorded,
What if the culprits behind every rumor
got prosecuted for all the controversy they started,
What if 'walls could talk' and told us
everything that goes on behind closed doors,
Would we then try and keep our own houses clean?
or continue worrying about what you're doing in yours,
What if we could find out what folks say about us
by the 'flick of a light switch

it's funny how one night can contain so much regret

it's funny how ironic life turns out to be

CERTAINTY
Mama told me to keep her close.
Certainty provides clarity.
So I give her my hand,
And in barter, I quest a true friend.
In doubt, I turn to Certainty,
But am met with the silent treatment.
I press further,
Only to be reduced to resentment.
I wonder. How can this be?
Desertion in times of desperation?
Certainty, existing and non existing, remains an illusion.
A body, that will never affirm any supposition.

Feeling like I’m walking in a circle
Everywhere I go I see the struggle
On the street human life is like a bubble
Better learn how to stay outta trouble
Little kids growing up without a father
Lying on the corner, some hungers
Have no money cannot go to any college
Have no knowledge and an empty stomach
Sunlight burns yellow into black skin
Gotta eat, so he knows that he must sin
Got a crew and yesterday they stabbed him
Cuz he stabbed the one who used to trust him
That’s the life when you grow up in the ghetto
Where the war ain’t never gonna settled
Poverty will always be your best friend
Try to run but you’ll find another dead end .
Try to look for a shelter cause it’s raining
Just to find that there ain’t no understanding
She’s an orphan and the street raised her
No one there to save her when they raped her
15, and she has to be a mommy
Couldn’t feed the child when she’s still hungry
So sex becomes a way of surviving
Her daughter can now eat, but she’s dying
The mother didn’t know when she got paid
It was the same time that she got Aids
Left her daughter and she’s only 14
The little girl lives the life we have foreseen
That’s the way when you living in the ghetto
Where your life ain’t never gonna better
Poverty will always be your best friend
Try to run but you’ll find another dead end.

I asked for wisdom, God gave me problems to solve.
I asked for prosperity,God gave me the brains and the strength to work.
I asked for courage,God gave me danger to overcome.
I asked for love, God gave me troubled people to help.
I asked for favours,God gave me opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted.
I received everything I needed.
My prayer has been answered.
