HIM AND I
The house was filled with vociferates and yelling from the both of us, broken glasses on the floor and things scattered all over the place, dismayed by the whole situation I ran out of words and I couldn't take it anymore... I was surprised by how the neighbors couldn't hear us, we have never had such an intense altercation and I was so apprehensive about one of us ending up physically hurt... I sat in the corner of the room sobbing helplessly as I stroke my hair back and forth with my head facing the floor. How did we get like this?I started wondering if I made the right decision of been with him or not... Abruptly I heard my mom's voice behind the glass door of his living room as she called out his name, I was paralyzed with fear and he was looking at me bewildered trying to figure out what to do... Oh I swear it was the toughest moment of my life.
"hey wat'up you've been sitting here reading books and Jake and I have been looking for you so we can go to the mall and I heard Michael is coming along," Tessa said as she leaned in towards me.. She's been my ace buddy since we were in 9th grade and we have been by each other's side like Ying and yang,she can be a pain in the ass sometimes but I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world, I on the other hand can be goofy, clumsy, sedate sometimes but she gets me.
"Ughh please don't start again, you know that I can't go out with Michael or any other older guy you know my policy" I said in annoyance as I spinned the chair to face the other direction.
"Oh c'mon girl," Tessa said indignantly as she spinned me around to face her, "enough with you and your no man policy," she said as she quoted my words with her fingers, "just because your step dad maltreated your mother doesn't mean that all men are the same if anything every man is far cry from the other and besides every relationship has ups and downs, it was just so unfortunate for your mother to be with such an abusive and reckless man, forgive me for saying this(she said as she made a sign of a cross) but your ex step father was such a horrible man and I'm glad he's behind bars, "
" I'm glad too, "I said with a breath of relief in my voice
" But Michael is different, he's good looking, he's smart, he's in college and it's not like he's really older than you maybe 3 or 4 years older, "she said as she looked up trying to figure out his age.
Tessa can be so pestering and she always talks me into doing lots of things and damn it she did it again, even though I was reluctant about it she finally talked me into going to the mall with them. It was such an awkward feeling having Micheal standing so close to me with his hand almost touching mine. He is such a catch but there is no way I'll let my guard down and fall for his charms(I thought to myself)
Ughh Jake and Tessa can be so annoying sometimes, despite knowing how uncomfortable I am around Micheal they had to live me with him? seriously? We spent about a minute or so without talking and he just kept looking at me as if he was trying to figure out something about me then he finally broke the silence as he leaned closer and said, "you know I've heard so much about you but I've never gotten the chance to talk to you."
"Oh re-really what did you hear about me?" I faltered as I took a step back away from him. He gave me a smug smile then continued, "relax, it's nothing bad"he kept coming closer to me and I kept moving backwards away from him till I couldn't because of the wall that was behind me. I leaned against it with both my hands touching it.
"Don't be scared," he chuckled as he put his hand on the wall just right above my shoulder so he can stop me from moving, he Said in the most flirtatious way as he bit his lip with his eyes directly focused on my lips, it makes him more attractive and I hate it. He's 5 foot 9 height is good enough for a perfect guy, not forgetting his long brown hair with a flip that covers his left side eyebrow, his beautiful brown eyes that penetrates through my eyes when he's looking at me, I shook my head with my eyes shut as I tried not think about it but then, it was then when I felt the tip of his lips on mine, he was so close I could hardly catch my breath.
Oh snap, what I'm going to do??...
