Family
I can get a little crazy when it comes to my family. I am mildly narcissistic and I know it , and for that reason I can get over excited about things I’m passionate about.   To simply put it if I care about you I will fight with you, and for you. I guess you can say I’m unapologetically loyal. It’s a characteristic aren’t too many people here that will stick with you through the good and the bad. A couple of years ago when the economy was failing, crime was high and the attrition in the community was increasing. People would get robbed regularly and get fed up and move to the suburbs. Those who stayed were either too poor to move out or had too much invested in this community to just drop everything thing and leave.

My family managed the building we lived in and that was a blessing in many ways. Not only did managing the other apartments in this building provides a roof over our head but people also gives us a little more respect because of our status. No one causes us any problems since we’ve been here. However we don’t do a lot of leasing out either.

Tyra stays one level up in a small two bedroom suite, and the level has been vacant for years. Something happened up there with Tyra’s family but we really don’t talk about it that much.

Tyra has been a loyal tenant and a good friend since grade school. She always comes by with rent money and takes time to have girl talk with my mom. In my head I would call their conversations the short people meetings, because they are both
inches away from midget status. Tyra is a red-ish brown skintone with bundles in her tiny round head. In the right light she looks like walking glazed brown sugar in the shape of an attractive woman. She rarely smiles and towards most she is somewhat unapproachable. We’ve been friends since pre-k although there are some periods of time I remember her not being around, after her parents left town. There are so many rumors about her and what happened to her parents that I just silence them all to avoid passing judgement on my friend. Honestly I couldn’t care less about what they say about Tyra, she always pays her rent and that’s all that matters to me. Tyra is the kind of person who has never met a stranger. Everyone she takes time to talk to is a instant long lost friend. Getting her to talk to you is the challenge. But if she does choose to engage in a deep thought provoking dialogue with you, consider yourself blessed.

On occasions I have seen her jogging in the neighborhood and taking breaks near Sam. Just like clockwork shewould see Sam and immediately Same would do or say something to her that makes her want to run away off. I told her once before she needs to start being a little more modest when she runs. But she just smiled at me and said it was bad for business and hurried away.

My ace Vonetrey is infatuated with her. It doesn't matter where we are or what we are doing, he always finds a way to bring her up in the conversation. In the halls at school he is not ashamed to ask me what did she wear today, what did she, smell like and if I to talked to her. on the way home it's make sure I look out for her and don't let nothing happened to her. Tyrell will talk 24/7 about her if her could but won't ever talk to her. And girls like Tyrell. He is tall and athletic and very charming to most girls he meets. But for some odd reason he will not ask her out.
