I do the one thing I can think of. I find a secluded tree and then start climbing until I'm high enough. I can hear Evan yelling my name. I shield my mind so he cant find me and sit there. How did they find out so much about my past? I think until I'm tired. This school was supposed to be different. I was supposed to leave all of this behind.

The flashback unsettled me. The fact that not only Max but Evan saw it is troubling. I trust Max but not Evan. It was his fault that it happened.

I'm glad that Max trusted me enough to leave me alone with my thoughts. Twenty minutes have past before I opened up the link and showed him were I was at. I know hes in class but he gets up and walks out, ignoring the teachers call.

When get arrives he climbes up the tree and settles onto the branch next to me. "Im sorry you had to see that." I tell Max and he shakes his head, dissagreeing with me. "It just helps me understand you more. Im sorry I had to see it instead of you tellng me but it makes me love you more." He says. He said the L word.

I lean my head on his shoulder and he wraps his arms around me. "Thank you for being here for me." I tell him and he kisses me on the forehead. "Always." He says. "Are you going to console Evan so that he can calm down before he has a heart attack?" He adds and I nod. We both climb down the tree and he tells me that he will give is some time to talk and then heads back to class.

I sigh and open the link to Evan. "Evan." I say and I can feel him jerk in surprise. I show him where I am and in ten minutes he arrives. Turns out he was on the other side of the campus looking for me. "Adriana, I'm sorry. I had no idea what you went though." He spills out before I could speak. "You told everyone." I say and his face turns red. "No, just Amanda. I was drunk and she was asking questions. She told everyone else." He says and runs his hand through his disheveled hair. He look a mess. "Why have you been acting like this?" I ask him.

He sighs. "I cant be seen with you. Besides, you're with Max." He says, turning away. I grab his arm. "Tell me, Evan." I say and he snatches his arm away. "I just wanted to make sure that you were okay, don't get any wierd ideas. I dont like you that way." I roll my eyes. "I know you like me like a sister. I know I'm a halfling." I say and his eyes widen with surprise. "What can I say I read your mind. And no I didnt go through all your memories. All I know is that you're an asshole and you have a brother named Max." I said and then walked away from him.

I head to class and then slide into my seat. Max reaches over and squeezes my hand, comforting me. A few minutes lates Evan walls on in and settles down into his seat. "How'd it go?" Max asked and I showed him the memory. "It'll be okay, you'll see." I nod and focus on the school work.
