"You woke up " his mother tears stained his blanket as she looked at him with concern.

He slowly sat up in bed to avoid any more damage to his already bruised body.

"why, why did you have to go and faint!" she sneered at him with a burning anger.

"always!, you're always causing trouble for me, for your father!,"she shouted, cried, and complained continuously.

Yuka stared at her blankly, her palm of her hamd came crashing into his right  cheek.

she hugged him tightly, while caressing his back like a positive mother would.

"I-m, I'm sorry mother" he apologized.

"I won't be reckless in the future" he muttered.

She placed  a kiss on his forehead, before she left the hospital room.

He clutched his hospital blanket in his small hands.

"Why me? " He questioned, his fist tightly held the sheets of the bed. his blonde hair covered his left eye, as he stared down at his hands.

An unfamiliar voice, broke through the silence of the room, a nurse in a pink uniform brought food and juice.

She walked towards his night stand, and quietly sat the food down.

"Yuka, Yuka!, Yuka thank goodness you're okay!"

Ken ran towards him, Ken quickly jumped on the bed, and  wrapped his arms tightly around Yuka's neck.

"I was so worried Yuka!" Ken yelled while pushing his finger into Yuka chest.

"Wait a minute...your cheek, what happened to it?" he asked with concern.

"nothing..." He responded.

"Anyway, why are you here?" He asked as if he was annoyed.

"I'm here to see you" he stated in an obvious tone.

"by the way, this is Shino, he's my bodyguard" he gestured to a tall guy in a black suit.

"I'm the son of a crime boss... so he forces him on me" he explained while sitting on the bed.

Yuka laid back down, and turned away from him, his side throbbed with each movement causing him to wince.

"you don't really interest me, but I like your company" he stated before  he removed Ken from his backside.

"that's so hurtful yuka" he softly laughed as he swung both his feet against the bed.

"look at your food... it's hardly a meal and you didn't even touch it" Ken scanned the tray of food and opened the apple juice.

"At least drink this" he ordered while pushing the straw in yuka mouth.

he gave in and started sipping a bit before stopping.

Ken took the juice from Yuka, and started sipping on the straw as well.

"You know, Yuka, you're not that Scary after all" he stated with a soft smile.

"annoying, just annoying," he mumbled after looking at him.

"well,  it's time for me to go... okay? it's getting late" he announced as he stood up and placed the juice carton on the tray.

"eat the sandwich, okay?" he pointed at the untouched sandwich.

"come on shino, we're going to be late" he dragged the big guy off in a hurry.

"I'll be back tomorrow, okay yuka!" he shouted after he left the room.

"Don't go, please..." He thought, as he watched him leave the hospital room.

"looks like you made a friend" his father stated after walking in the hospital room.

His eyes went big, he didn't notice his father until he was already in the room, Yuka body trembled tremendously, he started sweating, his breathing became more rapid.

"lift up your shirt" his dad ordered.

he did as he was told, with trembling hands, his father traced over his bruises with his cold hands.

"you got to be more careful son" he warned as he patted Yuka head with a small grin.

"losing weight as well, you have to start taking better care of yourself"

Yuka felt the bed dip as his father sat beside him.

"did you hear the news about your new brother?" he asked.

his eye's were devoid of any emotions.

"You know, we adopted you- when we found out we were unable to have  children of our own," his father hand found its way to his reddened cheek

"we do love you yuka," he whispered as he hugged him tightly.

"Then, what is love?" he teared up as he questioned himself.

"why?" He continued asking while he clutched on to his blanket, with tears flowing like a rushing river.
