Unexpectedly
I see the demons inside me
even if I try to escape
I'll die
They pull me aside to a corner
I cry out for someone to help and yet there is no one in sight as I start to lose hope There is a little white light

I hear the rain dripping down to the bright green grass
Slowly drowning the helpless meadow
Tears slowly rolling down my face
My feet near your grave
My thoughts wonder to the times you smiled and laughed
I can hear your voice but, will never see you breathe again
You were so full of light
My light

The fear creeps inside of me
You tell me I have hurt you
But, I have the scars to show you
I can not speak because if I do I will vanish without another word

A DREAM
I dream of a world where the
next few generations don’t live
with the fear of guns,
People judging others because of the color of their skin,
the loss of love ones,
Women having to fight for equal rights
or families being separated
That they won’t emotionally have
lost apart of themselves due to the fact
that there is no justice for the death of their love ones
But, it’s only a dream
Which I live in a world where
people fear a gun on someone’s hand and on the other (hand)
the trigger
Where the President says the problem is mental health
And his solution is to “kill fire with fire”
I live in a world where innocent lives are taken everyday
and children cry because of their families being separated
Women who have to fight for equality because others think they are weaker
and that’s only a few of the things that’s wrong with this world
Correction with the people in this world
But, it doesn’t have to be a dream anymore
Because enough is enough
We the people are done just waiting
around for someone to just do nothing about it
We will all come together as one to make a difference
Because we are stronger together
We will use are voices to be heard
We will stand tall and finally say
“Enough is Enough!”
And we will be heard.
