She's not happy with this,not happy with staying at her uncle's huge mansion.
Her father passed away two weeks ago,and she felt miserable.

For Valerie, Everything is so gloomy and the colors seems to fade.The mansion's location isn't helping the situation at all.The place is so creepy.

It all started yesterday when She heard whispers outside her room. she  felt goosebumps at that time,she couldn't guess what those whispers were about.

Valerie was going to visit her mom after eat her breakfast with her uncle and his wife.

She opened the white closet to pick something to wear,it's autumn so she had to chose something that keep her warm alittle.She picked a brown sweater with white jeans.Then she tied her hair up in a ponytail, after that ,Valerie walked down the stairs to sit at the table on time.Which seemed to be a strict rule in the house.

She run but suddenly a hand stopped her.
"No running allowed"The scary maid commanded.
Valerie rolled her eyes but nevertheless, slowed her pace.

Her uncle is a huge Meticulous.He wants everything to be right and in place.Somthing she learnt those couple of days.

Shd sat down and looked at the delicious food infront of her,which made her mouth water.Valerie reached for her fork and knife to devour the pancakes, before someone coughed.She snapped her head up ,slightly annoyed. She found her uncle staring at her with disgust.

"Good morning Valerie" Andrew greeted."Morning"she answered shyly. She have never talked to her uncle before in her life,in fact,she never knew she had one.

"You're five minutes late "he said.
"Y-yeah I'm sorry" She said,barely whispering.

His wife looked between the pair of them ,then glared at her husband's direction. Then she gave Valerie  permission to eat by gesturing to the table.

"How do you find this place?"Her uncle asked eyeing her wearily.She told him that it's good and thanked him for letting her stay with him. While he just nodded.

Valerie looked at the maids to see them watching her intensely. She smiled to one of them but the maid continued to stare ,which caused her to look down at her plate.

Valerie's dad was the type of dad who would hug her all day and all night.He had his own way of showing her his love and appreciation. She missed him,She miss his smile.

Valerie put the fork down and excused herself to her room.Her uncle raised his eyebrow, but he didn't question it any further, which Valerie was grateful for.

Andrew noticed how quiet Valerie is,that is why he never questioned her. He knew how losing your father really means.

Valerie made her way through the pale hallways.This place is so gloomy. She thought.

She walked into her room and grabbed a pair of shoes her uncle surprisingly brought her. Andrew was not the type of person to chat,he had always liked to talk at the times he thought was necessary ,making Valerie even more lonely and depressed.

Valerie shuddered when she felt the cold breeze hit her once she opened the door,then suddenly a hand reached and grabbed her wrist roughly . She jumped surprised before she realized who it was.

"Where are you going? "Selena,her uncle's wife asked her.

"To visit my mom"She almost whispered. Selena kept her hand on Valerie's wrist until Valerie coughed and Selena let her arm go.She nodded her head before she went back to the mansion again.

What is her problem? Valerie asked herself mentally.

She walked through the forest until she reached her destination.
She entered where her mother sleeps and then she sat down beside her.

"Hey mommy"She said weakly."I am currently at my uncle's place, which is really big and beautiful "Valerie knew she was lying. In fact, She was terrified.
"Oh and the maids are so creepy and weird "She paused her voice cracking "I ate pancakes today".

Before she knew it,tears started falling onto her pink cheeks.

"It's so boring out here without you and dad."She whispered."I miss you guys, and I know that you both can hear me from up there"

She closed her eyes and cried .

Valerie sat at her mom's grave praying that she is really hearing her.
