Ughhh
Думки вголос
'There are hundreds/thousands of religion and they hate eachother', that's what our news channels and some social media platforms taught us, which is not 100% true.
Do you know 'Ganesh Chathurti' (festival celebrated by Hindus) and 'Urs' (festival mostly celebrated by Muslims) are so much simlar to eachother. They are celebrated for a couple of days, they both create traffic jams and noise pollution as well. It's like a face-off between two religion.
And they hate each other's festival for the reasons I mentioned above. But, that's just a small ugly side of festivals.
But, most of the times.... FESTIVALS UNITE PEOPLE.
Yesterday, I was sitting in an auto with two Muslim boys and the auto driver was a Hindu guy. It was almost seven in the evening and, it was time for those Muslim fellows to open their fast by eating something or drinking water. So first, that auto driver gave water to those muslim fellows so that, they could open their fast on time and then, he fired the engine of his auto. Breaking the traffic rules and driving on the wrong lane, the driver covered a 10 min distance in 3 making 3 strangers happy and scared at the same time because, he knew how important Ramadan is to Muslims. He was rash driving, to drop two Muslim fellow in their homes on time, without caring about the accidents he might cause.
'Have you noticed how religion creates differences. I used' Hindu' and 'Muslims' in this post instead of using 'Humans'. The actions of that auto driver was an act of humanity but, when I shared this story to you, I expressed it as 'A religion helping another religion'. I emphasized on the word 'Hindu' and the good deeds of an auto driver got replaced by the religion. And that same thing happens during the bad times. Whenever a bomb blast occurs, the media, instead of calling the attackers a jerk, they emphasize on the names and the religion. And the actions of a dick becomes the actions of a religion.
