Chapter 2
*Ginger wakes up the next morning hoping to see Lilac at school*
*Ginger arrives at school and goes straight to Lilac's locker area to see if she can find her*
Ginger: *mumbles to self* I hope Lilac is here at school today I really want to talk to her about last night
*arrives to Lilac's locker but doesn't see her and waits to see if Lilac will show up*
Ginger: Hey. Where are you? I was wondering if you was coming to school today. I really want to talk to you about last night.
*Lilac doesn't answers*
Ginger: Please talk to me. I really didn't mean last night. Please let me know your okay at least.
*bell rings for first class and Ginger heads to her and Lilac's Math class where Ms. Shiny teaches excellent then 5 minutes later tardy bell rings and class begins*
Ms. Shiny: Good morning students! How is everyone doing?
Some students: Good.
Ms. Shiny: That's good that everyone did. So, today as you all know I will be teaching a new lesson.
Students: *starts wondering about lesson*
*Ms. Shiny calls role and students say here except Lilac and Ginger wonders badly if Lilac is okay*
Ms. Shiny: *begins teaching class their new lesson*
Students: *all follow along except Ginger*
Ginger: *half focuses in class then feels her phone vibrate*
Lilac: Hi, this is Lilac's mom. Lilac is in the hospital.
Ginger: *tears up* What? What happened to her?
Lilac: She tried killing herself again.
Ginger: *doesn't reply*
Ginger: *raises hand and says in her normal voice: may I go to the bathroom Ms. Shiny*
Ms. Shiny: Yes you may, but I need to see you after class.
Ginger: Yes ma'am. *rushes out of class fighting tears*
Ginger: *arrives to bathroom and locks herself in the stall crying pulling our her phone* I'm sorry Ms. Lavender. It's my fault why she tried killing herself again. I yelled at her and I know I shouldn't have but.....
Lilac: Honey, it's okay. I read the messages between you two, because your the only one she has as a contact in her phone.
Ginger: I am? How come she never told me that? I'm still sorry though. Is she okay?
Lilac: Yes she's okay. She's recovering right now. I told your mom, because she's Lilac's nurse while she's here.
Ginger: Am I in trouble with her? I'm glad she's okay. I didn't mean to hurt her honestly I didn't.
Lilac: Sweetie, it's okay. Don't worry about it too much. I understand. Your mom gave me permission to come pick you up to see her. I'll be there soon.
Ginger: Okay. *cleans up her tears and walks back into math class like nothing is wrong*
*Ms. Shiny finishes teaching and the bell rings for their second class*
*As the other students leave the class, Ginger stays behind like Ms. Shiny asked her too*
*Ms. Shiny waits for last student to leave then closes the classroom door and sits down in front of Ginger*
Ms. Shiny: Ginger, do you know why I asked you to stay after class?
Ginger: Yes ma'am. I wasn't paying attention in your class like I normally do.
Ms. Shiny: Your correct. Is everything okay? Your mom told me that you was leaving early today after my class. So, I got all your notes and classwork for you put together into packets, because you will be absent for 4 days.
Ginger: Yes, everything is okay and thank you Ms. Shiny.
Ms. Shiny: Okay Ginger. *pulls out packets and hands them to Ginger then gets up and leaves out the classroom*
Ginger: *puts packets away then heads to the office to go home*
*Lilac's mom pulls up and signs Ginger out then gestures for Ginger to come on*
*Ginger follows Lilac's mom quietly and the car ride is quiet as they arrive to the hospital*
*Ginger takes her bookbag with her as Lilac's mom wave bye as she drives off so she can go to work*
*Ginger walks into hospital and is greeted by her mom*
Dr. Rosy: Hi sweetie *smiles*
Ginger: Hi mom *smiles slightly*
Dr. Rosy: I know what happened and I know who your here for
Ginger: I know Ms. Lavender told me and why did Ms. Shiny said I will be absent for 4 days
Dr. Rosy: I'm keeping you home from school, because you will be monitoring Lilac for me and rebuilding your connection with her
Ginger: Your giving me a second chance
Dr. Rosy: No, Lilac is I talked to her about you and she understood
Ginger: *smiles* can I go see her please mom
Dr. Rosy: Yes you can sweetie follow me
*Dr. Rosy and Ginger walks down the hallway to Lilac's hospital room*
