PRETENDERS IN THE HIGHEST ORDER
I have noticed that people
treat me differently. My
peers now want to
associate with me. I do
not get it. Back then,
when I needed a shoulder
the most, my friends
were few and far
between. Now I have
plenty to choose from.
Then in 2010, after two years of
being in and out of hospital as an
outpatient, I was finally diagnosed as
having a growth in my knee and the
doctor prescribed crutches. Yes. You
read that right. This was a turning
point in my life. I was barely 13.
