Wizarding world!
Wizarding world!
Today is the first day of school at the university of magick. It took me forever to be approved and it took a lot of effort, considering how only students with perfect scores and grades across their entire school career can even apply let alone be accepted into literally the most prestigious school of magick in the world. I gotta say I'm proud of myself! The only things that high school and below teach is the history of magick, learning about great wizards, sorcerers, witches, etc. but university, university is the only establishment that actually teaches magick. Who knows maybe future students will read of my success. The sad part is no one teaches my most lingering question "where does magick come from".  Maybe a professor from the university will be able to answer that question?
(the next day)
Damien: hey are you new here too? My name is Damien, whats yours?
Luci: Oh hi, my name is Luci and yes I'm new.
Damien: Great! its nice to meet you Lucy, it'll be nice having someone to talk to. Freinds!?
Luci: Yeah sure friends! So where do we go for our schedules?
Damien: We have to go to the gathering hall, the teachers are gonna give us the schedules there after they explain the rules of the university and our restrictions and privileges.
Luci: Great! lets go!
(a few hours later)
God professor Alvis Beaulla is a strict headmaster but he is also very kind and respectful towards students and the staff, even professor Zulma Krasten is wonderful for a headmistress. I gotta say I'm impressed with the university and how lively it is however the amount of rules and restrictions are ridiculous and far outweigh our privileges. Also Damien is very nice and intelligent, can't wait for tomorrow, for all the learning to start, I could burst I'm so excited.
(the following morning)
Damien: Hey Luci!
Luci: Hey ready for the first day of class?
Damien: not really my first professor is Eisenhower and the subject is Enchantment.
Luci: Whats so bad about that?
Damien: Enchantment is difficult and strenuous and Eisenhower is rude and difficult to work with. So all in all a bad combo. How bout you?
Luci: My first class is Exitium and its being teached by professor Alvis...
Damien: Lucky! professor Alvis is the best he literally one of if not the most powerful magick user in the world! You get to have him teach you the most destructive school of magick! A perfect combo! Lucky!
Luci: Apparently this is the only class professor Alvis is teaching this year.
Damien: Seriously!? I was really hoping to learn from the best. That really sucks for me...But hey you can teach me!
Luci: What!? Other teachers will be around to teach Exitium, its literally your second class!
Damien: Yeah but your class gets to learn uniquely from professor Beaulla, come on please!
Luci: Okay, okay. I'll do my best. Anyway what classes do we have in common?
Damien: Wow! Literally just one and thats last class.
Luci: Well thats better than nothing I guess, see you in eighth period.
( Exitium class)
Professor Alvis Beaulla: Welcome class, welcome to Exitium! Before we begin, I would like to provide a brief history of magick and it's many uses. Firstly Sanitatem is the school or art of healing, protection, and defense. The most skilled practitioners of this art could even resurrect the dead as though the person had never died. Next, Incantatio which is the school of enchanting and incantations. Next Exitium, the school of destruction, used to manifest powerful magick used to destroy things. Next Sie, the school of conjuration, used in order to conjure animals, creatures, and weapons from pocket dimensions. Next Alteratio, used in order to make a magick users skin hard like diamond, creating light, and a few other useful uses. Lastly, the school of Umbra focuses on illusion based spells and magick, such making someone think their on fire or making someone think you are invisible. Any questions?
(Luci raises her hand)
Professor Alvis Beaulla: Yes.
Luci: what about the more obscure forms of magick?
Professor Alvis Beaulla: such as?
Luci: Necromancy.
(the class instantly gasps)
Professor Alvis Beaulla:(in a very serious but soft tone) We do not approve of such a disgusting and disrespectful practice. Are we clear?
Luci: Uh... yes of course professor. I was just curious about its history not its teachings.
Professor Alvis Beaulla: We have a library for a reason ms...
Luci: Archibald sir.
Professor Alvis Beaulla: Archibald. That name sounds familiar.
Luci: My family stems from the original witches and wizards of Vardis sir.
Professor Alvis Beaulla: interesting.
Luci: Sir, the library doesn't contain much information about the origins of Necromancy. Nor does it contain any real information about the source of magicka.
Professor Alvis Beaulla: Yes well there are more sections of the library that could contain such information but it is only available to students who have mastered all schools of magick. Now then enough nonsense and lets move on. Before I teach you any spells you must understand that Exitium is one of the most difficult forms of magick to control. If you're not careful you could easily blow yourself up into tiny little pieces. It had always been a dangerous task, teaching destruction magick, until now. Because now we have something called a wand! A neet semi little thing that can easily focus your magicka and does most of the work for you. You will each line up by last name, alphabetically and receive your wand. We are the only institution in the world capable of creating wands. Their delicate so be very careful, your first wand is free however your second will be quiet expensive.
Fuera: What's the difference between these things and a staff?
Professor Alvis Beaulla: Excellent question ms Bloodborne. A wand as I've said easily focus your magicka and does most of the work for you. A staff is similar except for the fact that a staff is used to cast incredibly strenuous spells. Spells that would otherwise kill you. The staff doesn't need your magicka for it has its own. A wand is limited to you, to your knowledge of magick and the limits of the magicka flowing through your body, while a staff is without limitation of magicka only knowledge of magick.
Luci: And how are both created?
Professor Alvis Beaulla: A wand is new technology, it won't be long before other universities will have them. Wands are made using wood from an enchanted tree. The enchantment on the tree allows it to absorb and release magicka. This tree was only recently discovered hopefully we don't deplete our only resource for wands, luckily we have our best enchanters working on ways to duplicate the enchantment. As for staffs well, that gets rather complicated. There was once a man who spoke to the ancients and taught them the ways of magick, before leaving he gave each of the 100 students a staff and told them "this is a gift from us use it well, for its power is limitless". There are an overwhelming number of theories surrounding this mystery man, some claim he was a god, others claim he was a demon, either way this man bestowed upon us the knowledge of magicka and magick and the staff.
(nightfall)
I'm more intrigued by the mysteries of magick now then ever before. Professor Alvis Beaulla has somewhat answered my lingering question but the answer has sprung even more questions. Who or what is or was this mystery man? How did he chose his students and why? Why teach us magick? How did he learn magick? How did he carry 100 staffs on him all the time? Those things are heavy according to the archives on staffs. If he is a god what type of god is he? Is he good or evil? I don't know but I need to master every school in order to get my hands on the forbidden area. Still nothing makes any sense to me. Why are we forbidden from entering the nearby forest? Why are all origins of Necromancy non existent? I only know Necromancy exist to a few mentions of the word Necromancy or Necromancer written on a book called the Dark magick, in the book the author mentions darker uses of destruction magick and the ability to summon demons and three literally three mentions of Necromancy, which I think has something to do with the dead given the word necro but I'm not entirely sure what it is. Did the mystery man teach Necromancy too? So many questions and no answers. We are also forbidden from entering the lower levels of the left wing of the university, why? Who the hell knows! Wait thats it! A demon might know, but that would be very risky. Demons are cunning and powerful creatures, still I need to know. I need to master conjuration first then destruction. I'll know the truth about this place soon enough!
