How it started
He looked me in the eyes  with a smile. I looked up at him and couldn't help but to smile also. We've only been dating for 2 months but I felt like he was the world to me. I wanted to tell him I loved him but it was to soon. We put hand in hand and then walked out of the ice cream shop where we had met exactly 2 months ago. We got in his car and he drove me home to finding my mom and dad arguing like always. "Are you sure you want me to drop you off now, they seem to be dealing with something. I can always take you to my house, I'm sure mom would like to see you." he said trying to be positive.

"No, I'll be fine here and plus going to your house would defeat the purpose of tomorrow. They fight like this all the time." I reply.

"Okay. See you tomorrow." he says and kisses me on the cheek.

I walk in my house and the yelling gets louder and louder.

"Hi honey, give us a second." mom says acting like everything is okay. "The shoes were cheap! The suit was cheap! So far everything is cheap!" she yells.

"You wanna know what's cheaper? Divorce papers!!!!" dad yells and then walks out of the house.

Mom is froze. Dad has never said anything like that before. Is he serious? Who will I live with if they get divorced? What about my relationship with Nate? So many question pop in my head and sadder and sadder the get to the point where I start crying.

"Honey? What's the matter? Dad didn't mean what he said, we are just going through somethings it's gonna be just fine I promise." She calmly says.

"Mom, he has to be serious because he never says stuff like that!" I protest.

Dad walks back in the house. "Honey I'm sorry I didn't mean it, I... I just lost my temper. Maddie? What's wrong?"

"She just got upset by what you said that's all. See Maddie I told you he didn't mean it." mom says smiling.

I walk upstairs and go to my bedroom because I want to be secluded from them for a while.

When I'm finished and ready for bed it's 13 minutes to 10. I shut off my light.
