Where Am I
What Happened
What Happened
Doc rummaged around some more, before unearthing a roll of oddly glowing fabric and a sharp needle. I look around again, searching for an exit away from the deadly metal object currently pointed at me.

Doc sees the terror on my face, and chuckles. He says, "These aren't for you Colten. They are for the hero of the hour. Eddie's the one that saved you from being burnt to a chrisp.".

I lifted my head to rub my head, feeling a goose egg hidden by my curls. Flashes of memory blur through my mind. A person, green eyes, black hair floating in the wind, a hand grabbing for me.

I say, "Was he badly hurt?".

Gilly's eyes sparkled, like he was hiding something. Doc grabbed another roll of fabric, muttering, "When I'm finished with Eddie, yes! I told Eddie not to go throwing herself into the fire, literally, to save other people. She gets hurt way too much!".

I scratch my head, careful of the tender parts, "Eddie's a girl?".

Doc nods, "Only one on Andrea. Was a puzzle to all of us when she was dropped off here. The goverment must have had a reason, though I can't imagine it was a good one.".

Gilly smirks, "She too much like a boy to not be taken here. Right, Doc?".

Doc nods, "I'd say we are all a bad influence on her, but I guess we will never know.".

I ask, "Can I thank her?".

My headache had lessened enough for me to think about my saviour.

Gilly snickers and Doc smiles. Doc nods, "Sure, Gilly help him up. Let's go check on Eddie.".
